Meeting Naga
In 2015, a Hawker Hunter came down at a busy junction near Shoreham. I was asked to share the famous red sofa with the lovely Naga Munchetty and, I'm told, another bloke.
My son turned on breakfast telly and was surprised to see his Dad pretending to know what he was talking about. He grabbed his phone and this was the result.
History has proved some of my statements incorrect. That the tragedy was caused by pilot error was easy to judge from the many videos and was my opinion even then, but I was treading something of a tightrope while investigations were ongoing.
Immediately after this, I did a radio interview for BBC radio, where the interviewer was far less balanced. Newspapers like The Sun were screaming idiocy like the flying over water suggestion. She believed every word and we had a bit of a squabble. I'd love to hear a recording of that.
